When attending your medical you will need to bring the following –

  • Identification documents
  • Driving glasses or prescription glasses (not contact lenses) to meet the eye sight standard needed for driving
  • A copy of your prescriptions, if taking any medications

All new Group 2 lorry or bus drivers must complete a D4 Medical.

You will also need to attend a D4 Medical examination if you are renewing your Group 2 entitlement at 45 years old and every 5 years from 45 to 65.

From age 65 you will need to compete a D4 medical every year.

A D4 may also be needed if you`re a NI, EU, or EEA driver whose authority to drive Group 2 vehicles in Great Britain has expired, or if you hold a medically restricted Group 1 license and want to upgrade to a Group 2 license.

The D4 Medical Report can be downloaded from D4 Medical Report. The Medical examination report for a Group 2 (lorry or bus) licence: information and useful notes also can be found on the above link.

Appointments are available to book fortnightly on a Friday morning. Please select Date & Time when booking.
