Overview
The ADR course is 5 consecutive days. On completion of the course, you will receive an ADR Driver Training Certificate from the SVQ in partnership with the DVSA.
What We Cover
Class 1 Explosive substances and articles.
Class 2 Gases (including compressed, liquified, and dissolved under pressure gases and vapours). Covers flammable gases (e.g. butane, propane, acetylene), non-flammable and non-toxic gases likely to cause asphyxiation or oxidisers (e.g. nitrogen, CO2, oxygen), and toxic gases (e.g. chlorine, phosgene).
Class 3 Flammable liquids.
Class 4.1 Flammable solids, self-reactive substances, and solid desensitised explosives.
Class 4.2 Substances liable to spontaneous combustion.
Class 4.3 Substances which, in contact with water, emit flammable gases.
Class 5.1 Oxidizing substances.
Class 5.2 Organic peroxides.
Class 6.1 Toxic substances.
Class 6.2 Infectious substances.
Class 7 Radioactive material.
Class 8 Corrosive substances.
Class 9 Miscellaneous dangerous substances and articles.
Important Information
This course comprises 28 hours of Driver CPC out of your total 35 required hours.
Tankers and tank containers: if this element is not applicable to you, you can opt out. As this module is worth seven hours' CPC, you will receive 21 hours' CPC upon completion of the course.
